I'm looking to build my head . Thinking of supertevh valve train and skunk 2 cams . I drive the car daily about 200 miles a week . Looking to see what setup would give me 240-260 hp and be reliable . Currently 221hp with cai , htech header , RBC intake mani , 3" custom exhaust with k tuned turndown and street tuned . Thanks in advance!! Have 1500 -1700 budget

When I was looking into cams I was looking at Kelford for budget and Prayoonto or Drag Cartel if you have the $$$. From what I've seen no one seems to like Skunk2s products too much on here

Might look into kelford . What valves should i look into ? Size also?

are you a stock k20? Reason i ask is stage 2 cams doesn't make that much HP on a stock compression k20. Sure you see graphs 240whp or so but they're all UNCORRECTED. Corrected its around 230-235whp ish. You will gain more HP by porting the head, more compression or M5 race gas.

But to answer your question: to achieve your HP numbers and you have a spending limit i would look into skunk2 cams. They go for $300-400 used VS the competitors. If you're iffy about the cams (which you shouldn't be bc i run them) then you should look for a set of used Prayoonto's, Brian Crowers. Those are the cams that sell relatively cheap but not as cheap as Skunk2. Then with the remaining money you have i would get bigger injectors and run E85 or M5 race gas and that Should put you where you want to be HP wise..

Drag cartels hold their value and i really haven't seen them sell under $800-750. If they do sell around there its because they really want them sold in my opinion lol.

Kelfords are a Hit or miss. I know someone who bought a used set of kelford 179b cams and exhaust cam lobes were scoring prematurely. He sent them to kelford and they blame the oil he's running lol. He got a new exhaust camshaft and months later he said they were scoring again lol.

Helllll yeahhhh that's what I'm thinking too. I already have Kpro, so upgraded fuel system and a 100 shot after some tuning should do some good :noes:
