My clutch went out yesterday on the highway, had it towed home. so now, im looking for a replacement but im not sure what exactly i should be looking for since a lot of people have different opinions. any suggestions?.............. it is an 03 Type-S with 109k miles........... it is stock but i do plan on doing bolt-ons in the near future.....should i go OEM or Stage 1? tried researching it but i want a solid answer......... thank you in advance for helping me out:vtec:

go big or go home . go big now or you will be mad at yourself later...i have compation clutch on mine stage 4 and it is sick...olso compation clutch 8lb flywheel..
Simply put don't get a stage 4 like this guy said. With what you got on the car you will not need a heavy duty clutch like that. It will suck for daily driving and will be super stiff. A stage 1 or 2 will be perfect. Competition Clutches are what I always recommend to our customers. Their 1.5 clutch is pretty much the same as a stage 1 clutch. We offer a combo with either an 8 lbs flywheel or an 11.5 pound flywheel. This might be something you want to get as well since it would be easy to replace that as well when replacing your clutch. thanks guys at least i know im heading in the right direction here thanks to you....... lol at stage 4, its probably awesome but i dont NEED it, prob never will, and its daily driven so i agree on it being a pain.......................... and although my needs are fine with OEM, i think ima just go ahead with Stage 1 since i do plan on starting bolt-ons in a couple of months and i bet they last a bit longer than OEM....................... appreciate the help homies:wavey:

drive mine every day and its just fine...it only takes a lit bit off the clutch to catch and thats ok. i have no prob wit it...

OE replacement will suffice. You wont ever make over 250 ft lbs all motor anyways. No point in wasting your money on a stage 4 or anything like that. If you wanna go with a lighter flywheel tho that will be a nice upgrade. i would just go with an 11 lb tho
So in case you guys were wondering what I ended off doing, I thought i'd update you guys........ Went and bought Stage 2 Competition Clutch with an 11 lbs flywheel.......... The pedal is obviously stiffer than stock but it is definetely daily driveable, took me about 15 minutes of driving in traffic to get used to it.......I'm very satisfied with this product, let's see how my ride comes along...... Next mods will be coming soon
ehhhhh ok. personally if I had your car I would take it out and put a stage 1.5 competition clutch in it with the ultra light flywheel combo. but whatever floats your boat man it's your car. if you want to run a stage 4 clutch in a stock car be my guest.
