EDIT here is a vid so you can see what I am talking about!

First lets start off with what type of coilovers I have. They are tanabe sustec pro II (they are not damper adjustable and you use stock top mounts.)

They are also installed on an Acura RSX-S

Alright so here is the problem. In the rear I put everything that was on the top part of the stock strut on this one. Well everytime I hit a bump the shock does what I would say is seperates from the top mount. I took a picture and the pink color is the gap after I went over a bump. How big of a bump? My durb to my driveway :crook: The black part that the red arrow is pointing to stays in place and the rest of the strut moves upward. It happens if I stand in the trunk and jump up and down =( Also attached is a picture of all the parts that came with it. Maybe I am missing something??

Was I supposed to put this part in the the coilover set up any place?

If so where? I just looked at the stock rear shocks and I have these left over but the directions from tanabe do not say anything about this piece.

What the crap and all you peeps losing your top bushings!! No, you don't use that little black piece. You put all the washers and stuff in?

DON'T! drive on it, take it apart and put it all back together.

BTW that metal washer on top is on upside down, not that it really matters.
Thank you sir!

I was missing the washer that goes before the top half goes on. It was allowing the rubber boot to slide over the hump and down onto the strut. Amazing what a little washer can do!

all it takes is a washer to save/destroy your ass :noes:
