hi

i was gonna buy TYPE-R rear wing spoiler

and this wing that i found on ebay which costs $300

its material was ABS...

my friend told me ABS is cheapest and worst material for body kits..

so i'm giving a second thought...


any advice?!?

its only a wing spoiler, it wont have much conact with the ground, so if its cheap, it really wouldn't matter. As long as its not cardboard or something :rolleyes:

your friend is misinformed, ABS plastic is not repairable like fibreglass but it is very durable. Honda uses ABS for their OEM spoiler aero kits. But I guess it all depends on the quality of the product in each case.

ABS plastic is probably the best material as opposed to fiberglass which cracks easily and urethane which is very heavy. Sup is right, Honda uses ABS for most of their OEM stuff. I'm sure Honda has done their homework on which material is best for our cars and for each application.

Btw, I think Honda uses fiberglass for their wings.
