doug, i'm a little concerned about the "running lean" possibility. can u explain this more please. thanks in advance. mike
I think he means that at partial throttle the ECU won't see the boost and not dump enough fuel.

Alittle off topic but how hard is it to tune the K-Pro? And do you still use the E-manage with the K-Pro?

Something I'm also not completely understanding is do you still use the E-manage with the Hondata GReddy turbo reflash?

One last question, what mods were on the car was dyno tuned?

What I mean is that in certain conditions - especially boost at part throttle, the wideband O2 sensor on the RSX and Civic SI will cause the car to run 14.7:1 airfuel ratio regardless of the fueling the ECU or piggyback has set. We have not tested the Greddy turbo systems for this but we have seen it on other turbo systems.

It can be detected with a scan tool - which will say closed loop while you are starting to boost and have less than 30% throttle.

Or an aftermarket wideband 02 which will measure the airfuel ratio.

Or can be detected as a hesitation when rolling onto the throttle from a cruise or after a gear change.

If you suspect you have this kind of hesitation you will be able check for it as above.

The K-Pro software has been written to eliminate this (potential) problem.

The reflash does require the E-Manage - which is why we ask you to send it in. The K-Pro does not.

Question....

Say I take this down to Ericks Racing, or another shop in Los Angeles to have my turbo installed, will I need a boost controller to go along with this program like the Profec E-01, or does this new Hondata program work with the stock emanage?

Will I need tuning also with the flash, or does the flash do all the tuning? Basically plug&play or will there have to be tuning involved after the flash? Or should I get it tuned, than flash?

Thanks Hondata, any tuning needed after this flash or pretty much plug and play?

Also, do you feel that weather changes effects the AFR enough to run dangerously lean? In MD, we have 5 degree mornings and 100 degree days from winter to summer.

You won't need a boost controller, and you probably would not want to change the boost much since this flash is designed around the stock boost, so no you don't need a boost controller.

It doesn't work with the STOCK e-manage but it works with an UPDATED e-manage which you get updated as part of the purchase of the greddy flash...

You won't need any tuning from what I've seen, it is all preset for you....they provide the e-manage maps and the flash that both work together and are pretuned so I don't think you would want to alter that...

The curve looks a bit jumpy up top...

Will the e-manage program be locked with a password or will I be able to look at it and change it?

Also will your re-flash eliminate those nasty Check engine lights? I keep getting the too rich or the O2 sensor circuit no activity codes and it seems to affect performance. :dontknow:

Last but not least, will the re-flash eliminate the computers iteration between fuel and timing maps?

thanks

Nossy: thanks for your help man. Appreciate it!

So this is just for the people that are running the stock emanage at 7psi? They will tweak it which is all a part of their process. I might just do that because those numbers are great on that PSI, and the way our cars are geared I can only see good things from it! Plus I have hondata 4 and I will only be charged 200 bucks basically for all the tuning (whatever is needed). kickass man..

Another question....

With the stock emanage I hear ou cannot tweak it.. So will this be a seperate unit like the profec? Will I even have my stock emanage plugged in?
