Not really sure, i talked to Doug for awhile last night, this is what he told me.....it would not matter anyway, you are gonna need to get dyno tuned to begin with. The REVHARD 7psi map should be good enough for you to get to the dyno.

Look here for all the info http://www.hondata.com/kprorelease.html
Alright, well I plan on going straight from the Honda dealer where I'm getting it installed straight to the performance shop that is tuning it. If anything it might be a couple days till I can get it tuned but if that's the case then it just has to get back to my house which is a 25 mile trip and then back to the performance shop 25 miles away.
i am sure as long as you don't boost(unless you will have control over your boost, in which case you should lower it down to about 6psi to be on the rich side) you should be fine.
this is as long as there is proper fuel in all the RPM ranges at all other throttle positions other than wide open [email protected]
I know I could do all that w/o boosting but it would just be much easier if they would include the GReddy program with the K-pro.
aggred.
is the k-pro the hondata flash? Im a bit confused with page 2 hehe..

So the flash will make me not worry about boosting more than I want or less right? Iw will give me that safe 270whp I have been looking for?
yes the flash is just that a flash. the k-pro is the stand alone program. non adjustable, less expensive, fixed boost 7psi vs. fully adjustable, more expensive, bigger boost
Man, its been a long week!! My car was on the Dyno for 3 hours yesterday, 5 today and we still need probably 2 more tomorrow.... I'm so anxious to drive my car!! but i'm just glad that the shop ( ADAMS AUTOMOTIVE) in crestview FL are being so thorough with my car and making everything perfect.
The car has already shown a 48 WHP increase at the 5500 rpm mark and a 37 whp AT 7110 RPMS... They still havent tuned it pass that, and i'm going all the way to 8600 rpms.
This K-pro is really the shit for out cars. Everyone that really loves their boosted RSX should make the sacrafice and fess up the $$ to get this, cause its really unbelievable to see all that this Hondata can do!!!
They also found out that my gauge is wrong! they tested other gauges and went through the ECU and found out that I was only running 6 psi's instead of 9 ( what my gauge was regestering.)
So I was at 219whp with the emanage.
K-pro= tomorrow I will have the final result.

Ok, I was going to drive down to Erick's racing and see if they can do my turbo install. I guess what is going to happen is that I am going to get the "flash" to begin with.

The flash doesn't really need much tuning does it?

nice,
is this on 6 psi or did you up the boost
is the K-pro a stand alone unit? I thought it was stock ECU reflashed with a programmable software included.
The k-pro is the stock ECU basically, reflashed to be fully user programable and givin a couple of extra things, like a USB port to link to the laptop. So it is stand alone, it's just the ECU. but does everything.

Yep, just 6 psi's, test pipe and Greddy evo exhaust.
I am planing to get it retuned as soon as I get a boost controller and the Greddy titanium Turbo exhaust
so your telling me that they have almost got you at 267WHP at only 6psi? You were originally at [email protected] w/no tune. I dynoed at 8psi 245WHP in 87.6deg florida weather yestarday w/ no tune. Hmmmm......this could get interesting. :). I will have the k-pro next week.

Greddy won't warranty this flash. In the instructions it says that GReddy doesn't offer any warranty due to the installation factor. Why not just buy the K-pro and get the GReddy flash built into it and then fine tune from there? It is still only $500 and you don't have to worry about emanage wiring and you can change anything right from the ECU, no piggy backs.
Reading furthing into the article from Hondata.

I was thinking that the flash was just of the stock unit, for better useability with the Emanage. But apparantly, the Emanage also has to be reprogramed to work with the Modified ECU.

If this step wasn't neccesary, It would be a good choice for people who don't want to have to try and tune with their Emanage, for sake of not losing the warranty.
There is no GReddy warranty. Even if you just install the kit.
With this new reflash, is it safe to lower the boost through the use of the Profec B Spec 2 when colder weather arrives??

The new ECU should compensate, so no need to lower boost!! BOOST AWAY!
have u guys gone to hondata's website they mention something about using this flash with a cold air intake system

What if I have modifications?

We have tested short ram, cold air intakes, headers, test pipes and exhausts. The programs have been tested to work well with any intake, but a cold air intake is highly recommended. We have noticed that when using a short ram the boost levels drop by .3 to .5 lbs of boost. If you have nitrous this program will not be suitable due to the aggressive ignition advance used.
what the hell is this all about. i didnt know that you could use Cold air intakes with turbos?

scroll to the bottom of that page where it says, What if i have Modifications?
