I/H/E safe without k-pro

HOLY SHIT TAKE IT OFF YOUR CAR RIGHT NOW, the car will blow after only 2 weeks of use. quickly take it off im serious. no one runs bolt-on's without kpro, its ridiculous. you'll run way too lean and the oil will disappear and everything will grind

ok for a serious answer.
1) search it has been covered a million times.
2) if you are running the stock ECU you will be fine. you will only run lean when you have a combination of the reflash and a race header on the 05-06 type s.
3) the only way to take full advantage of your mods is to get k-pro and get tuned. IMO k-pro is a must, and is def worth the money you spend for it.

trying to mod your car on a budget is ridiculous. if kpro is too expensive for you, you should probably just find a new hobby. doing things half-assed is a good way to thrash your engine and kill your gas mileage. just food for thought..

ran mine for 3 years with just I/H/E no problems :thumbsup:

^ about 1/2 a year with me, tune is actually today...cant sleep

yea that guys an idiot who said the half assed thing.....

should be safe. im running full bolt ons and only worst thing is running lean and losing some gas milage.

There is no prob running I/H/E with out the kpro what you dont want to do is get the reflash with none of the above modifications.

Thanks everyone for your answers. I was just wondering. Im will be getting k-pro in a year or two cause right now i cant afford it. Going to school, and working a low paying job with bills and such. Right now can only afford the basic mods. Sold some old parts off my last car.
