hey i installed the front tein springs on my type s. i had a a-spec kit before but the drop wasnt much so i decided to try the tein lowering springs. today i only got to change the front but what i noticed is the right front strut didnt fit the spring perfect like the left. when i bought the a-spec kit he told me all the years are basically the same and that they only make 05-06 a-spec kits. i have a 2002 rsx. so i put the spring in anyways and it rides good but the drop looks the same as before. i didnt cut the rubber cover in half i left it alone. does that make any diffrence? i still got to do the rear in the weekend. does cutting the rubber dust cover make any diffrence on how low the car is going to be drop?

well it does make it lil lower but if you didnt cut the rubber dust your car will still look low.
ur problem is that the 05-06 rsx has inversely wound front springs. im pretty sure the A-spec kit has that same feature. if you bought 02-04 springs then your problem makes sense and i would change em out.
Wait, so what year is your a-spec kit for and what year are your s-techs for?
i bid the s-tech from ebay and won the brand new it said 2002 and up but i got to read the paper that came in the box tomorrow. my apsec kit is for 05 and up

thats the problem, 02-04 springs wont fit correctly on one of the front struts.
awww dang. good luck!
