I looking into getting Lsd for my type-s, but before i invest my money in this i wanna know somethings, basically do they really help that much in drag racing? wheres the best site to get it? and what is the best one?

it will increase your launch ! i think if you got the lsd system.. and a set of engine mounts.. it should increase your time by quite a bit !!!

u'll probably sahve .3 seconds off your 1/4 mile and that # will be higher the more horsepower u produce

The Quaife is a great LSD. Also runs about $900 and install is about $400. I want one too, but it is not cheap. I know I have heard of someone who had the LSD, ITR FD, Clutch and Flywheel installed and it was $900 for the install alone. That seems like a good deal until you realize that installing all of those is exponentially easier when installing them together. Kind of ridiculous to me. :dontknow:

that person probably did all of those in seperate times....u can save a bundle by doing the install yourself...its not extremely hard...managable with a Haynes manual and the tools

Have you ever did it? I mean it sounds very involved. You have to pull the transmission and crack it open and pull all the gears. :nervous:
I am all about DIY, but that is not for beginners.

It is about $400 to do clutch and flywheel and you don't have to open the transmission for that. FD and LSD are about the same so if you think $400 for each and getting a bad deal, I could see someone paying that much; from a dealer especially.
