Jdm k24a2 swap into 05 rsx type s questions.

I have a blown k20z1, 05 rsx type s, id love to find a z1 engine for a good price, seems difficult.
So I figure I'd do a k24a2 swap, and probably (if it's good) put the k20 head on it.
I'm in texas and I see a dallas dealer for Jdm k24s.
I have alot of work ahead of me before I purchase I think, and I have done alot of research in the past weeks, but now I am making sure,
Will the JDM k24a2 work with my usdm k20z1 transmission?
I've read the water pump housing and alternator on the JDM is different, can I just use my z1 components there?
Will i need a different belt?
I know I should use my type s oil pump.
What else should be used from my z1 engine?
Kpro is a must for all this to work?
And if I don't have a shop that tunes near by?
Am I using my z1 engine harness?

I'd like to keep ac and heat and power steering, would would be needed for this?

I'm sorry it's long, I promise I've researched, just seems that alot of articles overlook my exact misunderstandings or questions..

Since your rsx is a second gen, you can use ktuner and save yourself some money. Your trans bolts up just fine. Swap over the rsx water pump housing and accessories. A headswap isn't mandatory. Depending on your goals it may not be worth the effort. If you aren't able to get it tuned definitely don't do it. Use your stock harness, vtec solenoid, and crank sensor. You'll need a different belt, the k24 is taller. There's a really good writeup on here on k24 swapping an rsx. d.i.y. k24a2 swap thread

I've had my k24 rsx for 7 years and I'm using the rsx serpentine belt. Never had an issue. I'm using all rsx components and only the k24 block.

I had to use the k24 belt before I went eps. Not sure what the difference in length is for the base vs type s. The crank pulley is smaller on the type S. The k24a2 pulley is the same size as the base pulley.

So did you keep the k24 head stock, just k20 bottom end in a k24 block? What kind of numbers are you making with that setup?

I used the k24 head and bottom block. I swapped over all sensor and exterior components from my k20 to the k24. Only things swapped internally were the oil pump and vtc cam gear.
