I read in the instructions it says to tighten the belt to 45 pounds but when i do that, it slips. So in my opinion i should tighten it just a little more so i did and it doesnt slip at about 55 pounds. Is this bad for the pulleys or belt? How many pounds is everyone else running on here?

If you tighten it correctly, you should not be having this problem..On a new belt, you do need to retension 3-4 times (start the car, warm up to NOT, turn off, tension belt, repeat, etc..This will ensure you will not have these problems if done correctly..
