JRSC belts & pulleys: please discuss it here

I know a lot of us JRSC guys having or had problems with our belts and pulleys and a lot of time we hijacking other threads because of it, so I thought it was a good idea to start up on a thread just about jrsc belts and pulleys. The thread is not only for current jrsc peeps but also for the newbies as well so they won't get us frustrated asking the same question over and over again.

I'll start off with one question, I read around and found a member who is using a goodyear 070775 belt which is 7 rib and 77.5 inches long. I tried a dayco belt that was 77.5 long and it wasn't even anywhere close to fitting onto the 3.4 pulley. The dayco 78.9 belt fit extremely well for the purpose. What I want to know is that anyone else tried the goodyear 77.5 long on a 3.4 pulley or is it because different makers make belt a little bit different in length.

yeah that.... i dont want to F with the crank pulley at all.. thats why i am looking at pulley boys too...

someone needs to hit 300whp!!!
I only need 14WHP more and I have it. Money makes the power. Too bad my pockets are empty.
what would you buy if you had the money?"
RC 750cc injectors and K24 crank pulley. Install both of those, hook up the laptop, retune, datalog, tweak and hit the dyno. Not too worried at the moment. Got big plans come October time frame. Looking at a port/polish of the head, 3inch blower pulley, sleeved block, forged pistons/rod, upgraded valve springs/retainers, bored out TB and to top it all off 75 shot of nitrous.

take it easy guys, this thread has a lot of good info on it, I go back to this thread from time to time so the last thing we want is for this thread to be deleted.

anyone here tried out pulleyboys 9psi pulley yet? I want to step up to 9psi but I dont know if I should trust pulleyboy or not, what does everyone else think?

I had pulleyboys work up the JRSC pulleys for RSX's and assisted with development (pulley pictured on their website is mine). My dealings with Brian W. were rewarding, he's a true professional and I measured the pulleys I received against my JRSC pulley on a surface plate and tolerances were +-.005, shaft bore was perfect, finish & plating were better than Jackson pulley and belt grooves were cut to ASTM specs. and checked on an optical comparitor. Thought the prices were fair and quality great. I would recomend...go for it!

I need a 3.6" pulley. Do they have that?
No, but e-mail them for a price quote for one. It is not difficult to change the diameter after the original CNC program is created, so it shouldn't cost you an arm and a leg. ;)
Yeah, I was very impressed with their pulley. They did a very nice job!

lead the way sonny....

just make sure you get plenty of pics and vids....

just curious though, how much do you think a set-up like that will cost?
I have a K24 crank pulley I will part with for cheap!! Like 40.00.... Let me know if anyone needs one. I will be buying the pulleyboys 3.2" by the end of the month!!

Jamie
I am currently have the 550cc, someone please tell me if it's safe to run it with the 3.2 pulley.

oh yeah sonny, you are just f**king nut, mad propz to you, the mods you gonna do make me  . I won't be surprise to see you are the first to hit at least 350whp with the JRSC kit
nm me about the injector question, I just read another thread and saw it. Man I don't wanna get bigger injectors already lol
How big would you need to run 9 psi?
some says 650 but I don't know for sure, I really want to boost 9psi tho
I am gonna run the 550's and see if they work before I go buy new ones. I think I will be done once I hit 9 PSI. After that if I am still not satisfied I will run nitrous. Hopefully that will do it for me.

Jamie
Once you get the HorsePower Bug. No amount of power is going to satisfy you. I have it. Besides Hondata and the UK guy, I want to think that I have one of the more powerful JRSC'ed RSX in the community. Unless of course someone who doesn't post has one and kept it secret. I want to believe stateside that the list goes: Hondata, myself, JR, Steve Lloyd, Norman Sipp, (in no order; alpha, ttboy and lanman) follow up. Everyone is within specs of what JR put out. Some higher, some lower. The JRSC is starting to compete, give it more time.
