My 2000th post!!!

Is the pulley metal or plastic? They fabricated mine out of metal and recorded the specs. Tested on my car and found that it works great. Then made a set for alphassmale also.

it's made out of nylon. i'll be putting them on tonight with a 7 rib belt (running 6 rib ever since the JRSC was installed -_- )and we'll see how it goes from there

Update: put on new idle and power steering pulleys along with the 7-rib Goodyear gatorback Poly-V belt. So far the belt seems to be running smooth and strong.

Hopefully my belt issue is fixed for good.

Okay guys, I'm starting to get frustrated :firemad: ! Last week I thru my first belt which I think was my fault from cleaning the engine bay. I had the belt replaced and now less than 60 miles, the new belt has already lost the inner most rib and is now back at the shop :firemad: . These guys are telling me that one or more of the pulleys is out of alignment now. I find it funny that the original belt was on for 9000 miles/ 6 months with NO problems. And now this...

So, after my ranting, I have a question for you guys. Do you think when the original belt shredded last week that it could cause one or more of the pulleys to be mis-aligned? I'm just trying to be an educated consumer and not getting screwed on a repair bill. I don't understand why they didn't notice this last week! I tried calling JR to see if they think this could be a possibility, but the tecnical department was alredy closed.

called up JR again and asked for the redesigned power steering, blower, & idle pulleys. put those suckers on and you'll be belt problem freeeeee

by the way CHK how do you check the belt tension? Does Jotech do that for you?

Isnt is 3.2 for the 9PSI? I'm not sure just woundering?

hmm guys, after i weld on the hi-flow cat to the race header, i've been hitting 8psi on the 7psi pulley. Is that bad for the engine? I'm currently running on the 7psi reflash. also i noticed after hard runs, my engine would stutter and CEL will come on. seems like a misfiring code to me.

Do you think that the blower could have been damaged after thoughing a belt?

For those that had this problem, what needs to be done to correct this problem?

the new belt will continue to stretch as you put miles on it. I'm thinking it stretched and came loose therefore caused the belt to jump off the pulleys. I've been monitoring mine (4th belt) for 800+ miles now. as soon as i see boost drop at WOT, i know the belt stretched and needs to be tighten up.

Anyone slap on the JR Supercharged badge that came with the kit on their car? I didn't want to put it on but some idiot thought it would be funny to debadge my car for me while I was inside a restaurant eating. They took the rear circle "A" cura badge and I was left with two empty holes.

My temporary holes cover until it gets jack again or i get a new A

off topic: Wdsonny, can you tell me which gasket and where you got it from to replace the one in between the IAC valve and spacer?

for those that have the new tensioner unit, if you havent put them on, take a look at them. The two pulleys dont' align with each other

I'm trying to take off my P/S pulley so I can install the replacement one that JR recently sent me. I can't get the nut to break loose. I can't find anywhere that says which way that nut is threaded. Does anyone know which way it turns to break that thing loose? Also, any tips on removing it? I used a clamp to hold everything in place, but that got bent up pretty good.

use a good size torque wrench to take the bolt off, and a belt wrench to grip the pulley.

Is the P/S nut threaded normal (lefty-loosy), or is it reverse threaded (lefty-tighty)?

if i remember correctly, it's threaded normal. It takes quite a bit of force to get it loose. might wanna have someone to grip onto the pulley while you take the bolt off.
