JRSC belts & pulleys: please discuss it here

I know a lot of us JRSC guys having or had problems with our belts and pulleys and a lot of time we hijacking other threads because of it, so I thought it was a good idea to start up on a thread just about jrsc belts and pulleys. The thread is not only for current jrsc peeps but also for the newbies as well so they won't get us frustrated asking the same question over and over again.

I'll start off with one question, I read around and found a member who is using a goodyear 070775 belt which is 7 rib and 77.5 inches long. I tried a dayco belt that was 77.5 long and it wasn't even anywhere close to fitting onto the 3.4 pulley. The dayco 78.9 belt fit extremely well for the purpose. What I want to know is that anyone else tried the goodyear 77.5 long on a 3.4 pulley or is it because different makers make belt a little bit different in length.

Stupid hurricane is hitting us again, this is the 2nd one that my boosted S had to deal with :(. I hope the car gonna make it through this one like it did with the last one, damn the plywood state, opppss I meant the sunshine state.

the car made it throug without a scratch, thanks GOD
Contacted Keith today and had a lengthy chat. He is very impressed and amazed that I am still using the same belt that shipped with the original kit. I explained that the only thing I have done is upgrade the pulley. Out of goodwill, he is shipping me a new tensioner assembly, pullies, and a new belt. He wished me good luck on my next boost upgrade. Did I say that out loud. Oh well. 11psi, 750cc injectors and 50 shot of the good stuff coming up in about 10 days. October 7th is my day. Already got my dealings in line. October is going to be a good month for me. I will tell you guys what the car makes after that.

Good to hear.

To those that are boosting 9psi or more. I'm getting 8.7psi at 5100 RPM in 3rd gear. I'm using a 3.4" pulley on my base rsx. I was getting 124 knocks from 2k-5k RPM but I did some ignition retarding and got it down to 11 knocks. I don't know how much boost this pulley would dish out if I take it to 7700RPM. Probably over 10psi for sure. I need tuning asap.

What are you guys boosting at 5k RPM?

Hey sonny if you get a new 3.4" pulley can i have your old one? I need an extra one to take to a machine shop so they can make it fit on my car.
Hey sonny, let us know the specs on your N20 kit. I am looking to do a 50 shot once I get KPro'ed
Basic N2O kit. Bottle, brackets, hose, relay, solenoid, one arming switch. Not sure about the purge kit. I want to see if I can get the intercooler sprayer and have it molded around the JRSC housing. But that will be another day. Will need two bottles for that. One for inside and one for outside. I may even go CO2 for the sprayer. Not sure. I think the kit is going to run me around $500 or so. Injectors $400. Pulley upgrades about $300 and install time for all about $300. I am looking to put out about $1500 on the 7th for all of this. I already have a guy I am giving the 3.4inch pulleytoo. Sorry and he is going to buy the 440's from me also. He has a Civic Si with the JRSC. Met him at Qualcomm and I worked it with him.

where are you going to mount the N02 injectors? Are you going to drill into the manafold or into the TB?
Most likely going to tap the CAI. Right at the bend. Not sure. Wherever Doug says put it.
Good luck to that guy with the EP JRSC running 3.4" pulley. I'm taking off my 3.4" and going back to 4.0" and retire from anymore modding. I give up because this hobby is taking up too much time and money
I'm selling the RSX, imma get an IS and sc it again lol

I like what you said about taking up too much time and money. I'm having a very hard time making decisions right now.

Don't get me wrong it's a very fun hobby to mod your car and see what it can do. But I'm just a broke ass college student who needs to get his priority straight and graduate already. I've spent so much time and money on the car while I should have been studying....lol duh no shit huh...ok i'm officially retired. No more mods
