Don't :firemad: me if this has already been settled, but will a car (hypothetically speaking ;) ) pass inspection if the second O2 sensor is turned off with the new ECU?

It has not been tested. There is a possibility it will, but you have to remember that the ECU is for off-road use only. :)

Well the reason I ask is we don't have a "sniffer" test on OBDII equipped vehicles. Here it is plug it up, check the emissions levels, check the gas tank pressure and youre done.

Oh, I understand that. I just wondered if those type tests look for the OBDII function to be in place or if it is just a check for any codes present within a given period of time.
