hey, stupid question but I'm just wondering if our car's somehow learn how we drive. I first got my car a year and a half ago and immediately proceded to ignore the auto mode. couldn't stand it. the whole *stomp-lag-go* bothered me about the auto trans.

anyhoo, I injured my wrist recently and am therefore forced to drive it in auto. noticed that the car tends to downshift earlier coming to stops and also stays higher in the rpm curve when I'm putting down the highway. is this a sign of something needing servicing or did the car somehow learn from how I drove?

on another note, how would I go about reducing the lag from shifting while in sportshift mode. somewhat used to having a clutch and the unconscious "let off gas while shifting" thing doesn't help when you couple it with the weird lag on the autostick. (also not good when I stick the car into neutral when going from 2nd to 3rd but that's another set of problems...)
