Hey everybody, I've been thinking about purchasing the motegi traklite 16" wheels because they're forged, weigh 12lbs, and are reasonably priced.

I've been told the stock type-s wheels weigh about 16lbs so switching to the motegi's would skim off about 16 lbs from the total vehicle weight and reduce unsprung weight of the wheels.

Anyhow, I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for another forged, lightweight wheel? I prefer to stick with OEM 16" size wheels.

Thanks!

reasons?

What size tire are you planning? 205/55/16 will fit nicely on 16x7. 225/50/16 will fit on 16x7 but it will fit better on a 16x8 which is more difficult to find. Personally, i don't care for the look of Motegi Traklites. My first and choices would be 16x8 CE28N, TE37, or Desmond Regamaster. I would also consider Buddy Club P1 Racing QF (forged), Various Advan, or SSR (Semi solid forged). Someone is selling mint condition 16x7 Advan RG and others selling 16x7 bronze CE28N on the Honda-Tech forums.

225 50 looks very bulky on 16x7. might wana go with 45.
I agree that is looks bulky but the speed/odo-meter will be way off. 225/50/16 is 24.8-25.0" diameter, which is the same as a stock 205/55/16. 225/45/16 has a diameter of 23.7-23.9". Also, there less tire brands that produce 225/45/16.

ssr comps are a good choice too. i believe they make them in that size

and motegi tracklites are a great forged wheel for budget racers.
