I’ve had this issue for about a month now and it’s driving me nuts. Every time I get off of a stop my car hesitates even if I let go of the clutch slowly, in low rpms in first and second gear my car hesitates and has a delay when letting off the gas. Today when I was driving to school my car randomly stalled twice driving in second gear in around 3000 rpms and would start back up very weak. I went to a couple mechanics and they said it could be because I have a racing clutch but I didn’t have this issue before. In conclusion my car in general feels very sluggish and tends to be even more sluggish then usual when driving long distances. It always hesitates first and second gear. I was doing research and someone had a similar problem and it ended up being that the fuel pump is going bad, I was also thinking fuel injectors could be the culprit. I recently got my sensors tested and they all are fine.

04 type s
K tuned cat back exhaust
K tuned suspension kit
K tuned camber kit
Recently had a evap system check engine light but got that fixed

Gears 3-6 is absolutely fine no problem. It’s only first and second gear where I have the problems especially getting off from a complete start. Once I hit 4000 rpm and up it runs like a champ. It’s very weird and wasn’t doing this before. I will get a pressure test whenever I’m free this week, thanks for your input.

My idle is fine, spark plugs looks ok but replaces anyway, I have a 2004 rsx type s, air filter is good, I went to the mechanic and he said it was the motor so I spent 400 and the problem still persists, low gear 3k to 1500 rpm car jerks every time I press the throttle and let go of the throttle. It’s a pain in stop and go traffic

$400 and all he told you was it's the motor? Sounds like you need a new mechanic that isn't going to charge you money for no damn reason.

My bad I meant to say motor mounts but yea he charged me 400 for mounts, it’s so bad in heavy traffic it’s as if when I release the pedal it delays for a second that surges to where the rpms is supposed to be, it’s kinda hard to explain but basically that surge causes that annoying jerk, same with with accelerating when I press the gas it would lurch forward about three times then it would be fine, it only does it when I lightly press the gas pedal

This sounds similar to the issue I was having when I changed out my oil control valve with a cheap one from rock auto. It was leaking and I figure id replace the whole thing rather than just change the o-ring.

Albeit from memory, mine was just sluggish in first gear with the clunky starts, I changed it back to the old oil control valve and the problem went away.

Mine does the same but if you mat it from idle it almost dies , pops and stutters then dies.
