Hey ClubEP3 haven't had the pleasure to start a member show off thread due to being next door in the CRSX turbo section. I want to take the time to move over here and try and keep updated the progress of the EP3 project i have had going for the past 3 years since i first joined the turbo side. It all started with a revHard kit on my k24a1 that gladly made 350hp/315tq and lasted a good time and had a blast with it for the time being, it all change when i did a vtec killer setup on the same motor but with a couple changes ranging from top mount manifold to new turbo and engine tuck. That setup got me a lovely 410hp @ 10lbs of boost but sadly due too many variables the motor died on the dyno. It all fastly changed to my recent setup i now have and have had since last Feb thanks to the tuning and patience of Brian @ speedlab.net who sponsored me in my tuning needs. I finalized the setup in my garage with hand tools and no help what so ever, i also assembled my own engine together and all the misc. toys it takes to put together a turbo setup. I now have a totally new setup for TX2K13 this year that's under wraps and i was hoping to have it ready for the upcoming COTM{so come over to crsx and vote for me fellas}, but due to now officially owning a 2006 subaru sti i have slowed down a notch and hope i have the time to proceed and not give up.. But any who i hope u guys like my show off thread i put together and ill try and keep it updated on the upcoming events itll undergo, till then fellas stay tuned!! :bow:

Question regardless your brake setup

What knucle are you using, brembo caliper from dc5 ?
last one did you have to fab some bracket to hold the caliper


Great car love the intercooler and the wheel !!!

Im using the usdm knuckle off my ep3, the caliper is off an acura tl.

No bracket was fabbed plug n play.

wow great

tl type s brembo with s2k rotor and that's it ?

i'm currently running ep3 type r brake swap with hp+ pads but may need to upgrade the system any sooner or later but this probably might be my way to go

How does it handle when you set it into a corner? Any rubbing at all?
after installing the front polyurethane bushings on the lca's to be honest i can take a sharp right of left turn at a very decently high speed and no rub at all. BTW front fenders havent been touched and i still have fender covers

Hmm, I might have to consider going for 245s when I want race tires. I was going to go for 225s but if you can fit 245s I'll need the extra grip. I'm going for a very similar setup with a turbo k24a1

That'll be good. I had the 235's and 20-40mph rolls I'd roast them. These 245's had proven the diff., in the future I will be getting 255's

Yeah I am running 215s right now and on 6psi I just shred through them in the dry. It's pretty bad
i hear ya i was making 426hp on 14.5lbs and ill roast them 225's and 235's all through 3rd gear and part of 4th!!!

I opened a separate window on my phone to keep up w updates !! Love this car. I guess since its close city and made in tx it has my upmost admiration.
