N/A K-Pro Calibration Thread

This a thread where we can all share our calibrations.

To submit a calibration:

1. Give it a unique name.
2. Write your engine code and modifications down.
3. Write down KManager software version used.
4. Link to the calibration, or upload it as an attachment.
5. Include datalogs if you would like.

Post this information, and I will edit this first post with your entry.

This way we don't have to search everywhere to try out someones calibration.

Keep this in mind.

For more information, check out Conrad's RSX page:

http://pencomputing.com/rsx/

Conrad is an upstanding member of this board with a vast knowledge of computers, electronics, and vehicle tuning. There is a great amount of info on the K-pro, basic tuning techniques, and advanced tuning on his site.

Glimpse

motor: K20A2
mods: Injen CAI, JRRH, 2.5" exhaust, Toda N2 cams, PRC IM
KManager version: 1.1.2.0 (would not operate with 1.1.3.x)

This is the original N2 calibration supplied to me by Toda. It is untuned.

motor: K20A2
mods: ITR CAMS & MANIFOLD, AEM V2, DC RH, 2.5" CUSTOM EXHAUST, IMG, PULLIES

Notes:
- 4200 VTEC, 8600 rev-limit
- This is a fully tuned calibration.

WhiZ

motor: K20A2
mods: AEM V2 intake and DIY grounding kit

- IAT was 101 degrees (my usual IAT) and I have not applied conrad's temp compensation to it
- Fuel used was Chevron Supreme 94 octane
- I logged an A/F range of between 13.0 and 13.8, but primarily it's very close to 13.2 from 3k RPM to 8k RPM
- VTEC point is at 4500RPM; rev limit 8600RPM; immobilizer, Multiplexor, and OBDII are all enabled

motor: K20A2
K-Manager version: 1.1.6.0
Mods: V2, ITR cams, JRRH with hi-flo cat, Greddy SP2 exhaust, DIY ground wires

Notes:
- Started with ITR calibration and tuned from there
- January 27 2005 running on Chevron Supreme 94 octane (only in Canada, eh?)
- Immobilizer and all OBDII functions are enabled. VTEC is 3800rpm and fuel cut-off is 8800rpm.
- Additional notes click here.

park83rsx

motor: K20A2
mods: Injen CAI, DC RH, DC TCS exhaust, ground wires, TB coolant bypass, Hondata IMG
KManager version: 1.1.3.0

Notes
- IATs were extremely low, in the 30-40 degree range.
- I applied conrads air temp. compensation to it, but the 0 point is about 30 degrees.
- First calibration is milder, I recommend running that first. The second one is more aggressive.
- Both calibrations improve the mid-range where the engine seems to want more timing due to the increased flow of the header and exhaust. (over just a cai, which is what the base (cold air) calibration was tuned with)

Second calibration, 2nd gear pull
Second calibration, 1-3 gear pull

andyd22

motor: K20A2
mods: Mugen CAI, DC Sports Header, Skunk2 Cat Back
KManager version: 1.1.3.0

Notes:
-Needs to be converted for U.S. users.
-There are some knocks still @ low rpm, but these had been modifed from these 2 logs.
-As u can see 0-60 in 5.8 0-100 in 13.806.
-Still needs a little tuning.

This is such a great idea. As long as everyone lists mods/special circs, it will be an amazing resource for the community.

park,

Not to try and discredit what you're doing here (I fully support it!), but why is this in N/A? Then again, I tried to start a thread like this in the ECU forum, and it never seemed to catch on, so maybe it'll do better here. :)

Anyways, here's my tuned calibration for K-Pro with an AEM V2 intake.

WhiZ's calibration
- Last updated 6/27/2004
- Mods at the time: AEM V2 intake and DIY grounding kit
- IAT was 101 degrees (my usual IAT) and I have not applied conrad's temp compensation to it
- Fuel used was Chevron Supreme 94 octane
- I logged an A/F range of between 13.0 and 13.8, but primarily it's very close to 13.2 from 3k RPM to 8k RPM
- VTEC point is at 4500RPM; rev limit 8600RPM; immobilizer, Multiplexor, and OBDII are all enabled

Peace

We thought it would be a good idea to have an N/A specific repository of calibrations and datalogs.

No worries, Glimpse. Like I said, I fully support the idea and (obviously) thought it should have been done a while ago. :) Kudos to you and park for making a sticky.

Thanks.

Added your calibration. Thats one high IAT, 100 degrees. If I get a chance to tune this weekend mine will probably be really low, like 10 to 15 degrees. There is supposed to be a cold front comin though.

Thanks. It was done in the middle of summer, and the ambient temp was around 85 degrees. I'll be doing some more tuning once I get my car back and I'll post that calibration up too.

Cool. Your short ram intake is hurting your IATs though. Did you get that one to avoid any possible chance of hydrolock???
This is a great idea.

Thank you. Once some of us get a lil more tuning in I am sure the calibration library will expand.

This is like Napster for k-pro calibrations. heheheh :p
Not to whore my own thread too much, but didn't Conrad have an N/A calibration of his own too?

He did. Shoot him a PM.

'Hurting' is a bit strong, I think... I've compared IATs with CAI peeps and the V2 is not that far off them. Certainly a CAI will give you lower IATs overall, but in my climate it's just not as big a concern as say S Cal or Florida. And yes, I got the V2 because I'm paranoid about hydrolock and it's a much easier install that a CAI. :)

Anyways, back on topic - let's see some more calibrations!

Yea, this whole idea, makes me much more comfortable with getting k-pro.
haha yeah this is a great idea..now does anyone have a tuned cali. for jrrh and cai???

Maybe I was being a little harsh.

Nothing wrong with playing it safe though. Youre right about install too, my SRI could be taken off in 5 mins. I became rather quick with that after a while.

I'm gonna be sending conrad a pm right now.
