Need legal advice about vandalism

Ex-girlfriends best friend fucked with my car. He put some orange crap all over my windows, took forever to clean up in cold weather but doesn't cause damage at all. He already confessed to some people that I know that he did it. I'm worried he'll keep messing with my car, so I'm wondering if there is any legal action I can take without ripping his head off and going to jail. I already told him that I know it's him and that I will get police involved if he keeps doing it. Is there really anything I can do since he isn't causing damage?

Note: I can't beat his ass because he is still a little high school kid and I'm 19 years old, so I'll most likely be charged for assaulting a minor. :firemad: Also I'm worried because he's known for spray painting cars and just vandalising them.

keep a camera fixed on your car's parking spot (at your house or whatever) for a little while. If nothing happens to your car, record over the tape. keep doing that. if something happens to the car, you'll have it on video. Take it to the po po and you got yourself a nice big paycheck.

file a police report. it wont get anything done but at least they will have it on file and you can go from there. Good luck

careful about kicking the shit out of him, a good friend of mine just got a 4yr sentence on felony charges related to beating up a kid for info on stolen money, 2yrs suspended. he's pretty fucked and really didn't do that much there were others involved as well. front page of my local section yesterday lol

you can file a small claims suit against him (basically no paperwork just witnesses lawsuit). it keeps it simple for people. go down to your local courthouse and get info on it. I got sued by a neighbor once and thats how he went about it. -I won though:thumbsup:

trust me, it will at the least scare the shit out of him, I know I freaked when a sheriff taped the warrant to appear to my front door

had my neighbors car towed cause he doubled parked into my town home's reserved spot after being warned a previous instance. turned out the tow truck driver towed him after he switched spots. I removed it from small claims to civil court just to inconvience him and I shut him down on his side of the case I didn't even have to give my defense

file it, get it on record that you have a claim against him...if something happens again, that'll make the case stronger. Also, check your insurance and drop the comprehensive deductible down to $100-$200, so you won't be totally f'd if he f's up your car and doesn't pay up.

drop it to 50 bucks, it will only change your monthly payment 2-5 dollars (general estimate) but worth it. plus in some cases you can upgrade in that situation, it could be cheaper to get something new than repair like hoods

they just give you a check sometimes

something similar happened to me back in November. two punks from my high school opened paint balls all over my car:firemad:
the only legal advice I can offer you is to go to the cops if he does anything else (but make sure you have proof, video tape, pictures, etc)..you said he told a couple of your friends right? if he did, there's your evidence. have your friend that he told go down with you to the police station as a witness and file a report. they can even get your buddy's phone record as proof.
If you really want to get back at him, find out where he livse and remove the oil drain plug in the middle of the night, so the motor seizes in the morning when it's started. :laughing:
Put bologna all over the car in the middle of the night (it supposedly strips the paint off) so they will have a polka-dot car. Pee in their gas tank. Take a dump on his hood (and smear under the doorhandle).
Or put salt inside his gas tank...I'm sure you know what that will do:thumbsup:

find out how old he is... if hes 18 give him a personal visit ( idk if ur big or what not ) but if u can take him jus straight up tell him what will happen if he touches ur car again.... file the report jus so if he does do it again you have that already down from previous time -- so either he will be shook by u going up to him, or he will be sayin hey to police

I had a similar situation happen to me when I had my last RSX. Some kid from a area high school got mad when I beat him in a race and he "should have won, blah blah, story story". After that he would keep putting that window paint all over my car, and after a couple times, that shit stopped coming off easy so....bought a camera, set it outside my house, got him and his friends on tape doing it. Next time they were doing it I called the police and had them picked up, starting their criminal records(luckily for me they were all over 18). He did it again when I was parked at work, but I was one step ahead of him and put out a camera there too and got him on tape doing it again which netted them all a year in jail when things were all said and done, plus one kid that was with them had pot on him(enough to be considered distruibuting) and that got them all some time for that additionaly because they confessed to knowing he had it.
