Well, it's taken a little over a year but I finally got this old girl looking clean again. Little backstory...
Back in January of 2022, I was heading to the store on my lunch break when some retard in a brand new F250 decided to execute a right hand turn right into my door. Dude tried to run off and I had to call the sheriff. The worst part about this was that I got rid of collision coverage 2 weeks prior to the accident (CA only requires liability insurance).

Looked all over the country and at times I almost settled. I really liked the burnt orange but I'm glad I didn't go that route. I remembered the yellow 1986 IROC I had and quickly sought out something a little less flashy. I will never sell my RSX, I will wreck it first? You don't know the limits till you push them. So far so good, I've had a couple moments when I've become one with the car. Somehow I trust it. A truly amazing vehicle.

If it was the other drivers fault, their insurance is suppose to cash you out regardless if you have full coverage or liability. I would've taken the check and got a new car, but that's me.

That depends on where you live. I'm in Michigan and it's a "no fault" state.

I’m well aware, but this wasn’t a simple claim. See how I mentioned the dude tried to run off? I called an attorney immediately afterwards lol. I’ll get my money back eventually. The car was worth a little over $5k at the time, there was no way I could put that down on a new car and keep the overall payment low.

Yea tbh, the police system sucks that even if you got his license plate, it means nothing. Having liability and a hit and run doesn't help either sadly, unless you have a dashcam. One of the best investments anyone can get to be honest.

IDK some dude put up a pretty clean low mile 115k Type S asking 9K all original, one owner, Texas car. Any regrets? When did $19.000 become a low down payment? That would be your 14+5 off insurance. Your attachment to the car seems to go behond reason.

I wouldn’t have saved up that money if the insurance was paying me for it. Would you want to make payments on a car with $5k at 4%? I don’t think so lol.

At the end of the day, I’m going to recover all of the money I put into the car and then some.

ALLriiight. No reason to get hostel. Not on the open market you won't. What did you hurt your neck too? lol Honestly man you know I hope this works out for you. It's your money, the car looks sweet. No doubt. You seem to have little faith in aspects of mankind. Yet I haven't walked in your shoes. So maybe it was earned. ?

Actually, yes I did injure my neck lol. Dude that hit me was a total scumbag, but I wouldn’t say I’ve lost faith in humanity. Then again, seeing the shit show unraveling itself around the country over the last few years has definitely made me question it haha.

Let us dig into this a bit, shall we. So as a temporary injunction you brought the car back to one might say "pristine". Took awhile but this temporarily eased the pain of some self indulgent prick doing a hit an run on you. ( on purpose of course, she knew what she was doing ) But the ridicule of you phsyicaly walking around looking over your shoulder with a sever crick in your neck, not to mention everybody is now out to get you. You thought it before, but now you know for sure?
Be for we take on the world let us deal with these route causes first, shall we.
So after enduring all this how will we ever be made whole again? Espeicially when 99% of this is out of our control . Sneaking around here making fun of people lesser than us is a good start. I think not my friend...

I'm now finding quite a few issues with how they put the interior back together and no longer feel that I got my money's worth lol.

Not really. Anything short of a couple 1000 h.p insane launch controlled beast's runnin' around. I'll keep mine also.

As much as I’d enjoy a monstrosity like that, I’d either be in a lot of legal trouble, or I’d be dead lol. That fastest car I’ve driven so far is a Jag F type, and that scared me.

I don't believe you. Your not that old and we all know what defensive driving got ya. We won't beat a dead horse. No matter what people think as to the sheer cubic dollars you spent. It is your car, it is your money, and it's your way of coming back from it. LIKE a big F**K YOU to the whole situation. Say's a lot about your charactor. This is the type of person you don't want to cross people! I don't precieve to know farmer, but I know his type. Trust me and keep on walkin'. As you get older in life you begin to recognize the type and better yet how to avoid them when it comes to any issues. Your better off coming up with a happy solution that everybody can live with. He's Just getting started and he will not rest. Don't feel sorry he's the one that's fuc'd up and just can't walk away......oh no.
So how much you think you can spend on rims? LOL There's a lot of nice used sets on the market here and elsewhere.
