Hello all!
I have a 2005 Acura RSX base model with Tein coilovers (had these for about 90k miles). 285k miles currently.
As the title suggests, I just paid a someone to replace my front control arm bushings. He insisted on me buying my own parts. I ended up deciding to go with polyurethane bushings. I got them new off eBay. However, I fear they may be cheaply made. Thats what i get for trying to cut costs thia time... replacing my front brake pads last night, I noticed one totally broke, another looking rough. They were replaced 4 months ago, can't be over 4k miles since
So, what could cause this? Cheap material? Not enough grease? Suspension issues? All of the above? My front suspension seems okay but the rears I think are shot... already at stiffest height, very bouncy, bottoming out on bumps, etc. but that's another discussion because I doubt that would have anything to do with these bushings... Upon reflection, I'd probably like rubber bushings since I prefer a softer and smoother ride. Regardless, frustrating to see this damage.
Any help about probable root causes will be very much appreciated. Thanks all!
