Sustec Pro FIVE is an all new adjustable coilover suspension that features a wide array of all new circuit developed technology that is similar to Tanabe's Sustec Pro SEVENS.

Sustec Pro FIVE delivers broad performance for the track to the streets. Featuring 12-way(16-way with TEAS) front & rear adjustment, FIVE allows drivers to fine tune height, dampening and rebound based on street conditions and driver preference.

The new slide valve technology allows a great range of adjustability and function for street and track use.

When used with the new TEAS electronic active suspension controller, the wide range of dampening force is accessible through the touch of a button, and is fully programmable to automatically adjust dampening rates according to the speed you drive.

whats the price?
Looks like 1680 MSRP, right up there with the Tein Flex
whered you get that price from?
I wounder how much CRSX going to sell it for.
I love tanabe products. I have their coilovers and wouldn't roll on anything else.
i plan on getting tanabes, looks like tanabe owners like them...barely anyone sells theirs used :giggitygiggity: i think they are pretty under rated, they also have a lot of coils for the dc5 i believe
AHAHAHAA

Damn, its about time the pro FIVES release.

I wanted the pro SEVENS so bad, but sadly, they never made it stateside.

good to see Tanabe finally releasing them though, especially because I had my doubts (like 1.5-2 years ago).

edit: damn, just read the application chart and the spring rates are pretty soft
Your right the spring rates are a little soft. But I have been told that your can buy higher spring rates if the standard spring are to soft for the taste.

I have a buddy with them on his 249
any reason why this wouldn't fit the 05/06? The application chart only lists 02-04.

I ahve a buddy with the Seven on his 240, and he loves them. And the controller box is a must. It like have three different cars all in one. You can really feel the damping adustments.

When will the Five go on sale?
wats the difference between the Pro 7 and pro 5 ?

I don't think the rates are too soft for an everyday suspension. Considering the car, well at least the R here came with 5 and 8 front and rear and the car already has a somewhat stiff ride; the spring rates are actually pretty good. If somebody is wanting a full-on circuit suspension, then most definitely the rates are pretty soft, but this suspension is not a full-on circuit type suspension, it will work on circuit, but much better choices out there for that application.

EDIT: just looking on the Japanese side of Tanabe and it seems the Pro7 might be released on the 31st of August.

Maybe some have already seen this info, but they do have something pertaining to the ITR.

^ I recall someone in singapore had the pro SEVENS already. They never released in Japan???

Yes, the spring rates are actually good for the average joe. I was speaking out of my opinion.

All Tanabe products are released in Japan before coming to US. Except for vehicles only in US and not offered in Japan.

For 2001 mugen SS is 5K/8.2K, I thought ITR was 3.7K/7.4K and 04+ it was 4.9K/8.5K vs 4.6K/8.5K at least thats what mugen has on the website :dontknow:
Based on my mugen, I think the tanabe would be great on track even with sticky rubber, maybe not for slicks/r compounds but not many people run those
