You don't have to use K-pro if you stick to a 50-75 shot. I've used it both ways, with and without k-pro / wet and dry. If you do the wet shot and stay below a 75 shot you will need the following:

Wet Nitrous Kit
Bottle Heater
Pressure Gauge
1-Step Colder Plugs
MSD Digital Window Switch

and that's about it. You can get a purge, but it's not necessary. Fuel pressure safety switch is an option.

If you want to run a bigger shot, you'll need k-pro so that you can control timing retard and a host of other tuning abilities. It's more efficient to run k-pro with bigger injectors and a dry kit, but it's also more expensive because of the k-pro and injectors.

So the main question is how big of a shot do you want to run, and do you want to do it the cheap way or the best way.

Well im deff not going to do it the cheap way casue this car has to last me awhile, but i do want to do soemthing to it to make it run better! I just want to put a small shot on it, nothing over 75..and i would do a window switch, purge, bh, colder plugs, and probaly the zex kit? Is that an ok brand to run on these cars? As of now i have i/e/want to do rh/ then this shot, i think it will run pretty good! You think so?? I just know nitrous can get pretty expensive.
ZEX is garbage. Overpriced solenoids in a box.
Plenty of other options; NOS, NX, NS, NW, TNT, DTN, etc...
NOS or dynotune all the way best of the best IMO
Kpro
Dynotune Nitrous
440CC injectors or 520 or 650 Depending on shot size.
1 Step Colder Plugs
Bottle Heater
Pressure Gauge

Thats all i can think of right now. Thats what i would recommend.

I would say buy k pro first.
^^ would love to do k pro but fro everything and being dynoed it cost way more then i have as of right now, i am just looking around for the best power bains for the right price. I'm not sure what i want to do, i was just looking around and was curious as to what it takes to put a shot on, BFLAKER and some other thread i read said kpro wouldnt be necesarry if running a small shot, true or no?
i ran a 75wet shot for almost 6months and it was a blast only time i had a problem was on the dyno and that wasnt mine or the car/systems fault so yes you dont NEED it but its great advice to consider...food for thought kinda..once i got kpro i couldnt believe how much better/efficent my car/nitrous system could run and im just street tuned, another thing to keep in mind is 75 is a decent amount of power gain it took about 4 bottles to kill my stock clutch and tires, one thing always leads to another im sure you know that

You dont need to be dyno tuned with a basic N/A and nitrous.

I have a supercharger and nitrous and still havnt been dyno tuned.

The SAFEST and BEST way to juice your car is going to be with K pro.

With any modification done to this car, you should always start with k pro.

You can run a half ass setup with a 50 shot, and no k pro but i would never recommend it.

Im just never the guy to offer an unsafe un reliable half ass setup.

You want it done right you can do it my way. You said you wanted the best way that is it.

Dont have the money, then save for when you have it.

Get Kpro. That with a CAI and RH will be close to a 30 shot anyway LOL. Once you have Kpro you can do a dry shot up to about a 35 without injectors. You will need to retard timing above a 35 shot so Kpro is essential. The nice thing with Kpro is you do a hell of alot less wiring. You wont need the fuel selonoid or associated wiring and fuel line tap where a very large portion of problems come from. You also will not need to wire up a WOT switch, window switch or a low fuel pressure switch etc. Time saved = problems avoided = :2thumbs: with Kpro you can also set lean protection and knock shutdown unlike any other nitrous setup, so the extra power and control with Kpro is well worth the cost.:pimp

So your saying my 1st upgrade should be k-pro?! Thats what i have been hearing, i guess im going to sav emy money for a little longer then and do that, then get rh then...idk! Guess we'll see what kind of power i want to make after all that! Looking for 300-350hp range. May just do a turbo and call it quits even though a sc rsx would be pretty sick

and be just like everyone else nah, not for me anyway, compared to the turbo s/c guys, us nitrous guys are few and far. i mean sure whats a turbo setup going to cost you 4k s/c is prolly around that or spend around 2k and get reliabilty and extra power when you want it. plus bigger pills are only 5bucks lol.... in the end tho what ever you do will work cause its your car...just my .02
bolt ons will always help but when i put my kpro in with my i/rh/e it made a world of change that thing is so Fing amazing i can do bout anything on it best mod for rsx period my 2 cents
CAI then Kpro then sky's the limit.
get k-pro then nitrous first. why? u can get all the shit u need for nitrous to run safe like bottle heater, window switch, etc.. and up spending close to a g..

get k-pro 1000$ depends if u have 02-04 then get a dry kit which is like around 350$ and your done.

just save up a lil more money and u wont regret it.

Assuming hes buying a new kit. After Bottle heater, bottle opener, and pressure gauge + kit your looking at atleast $600. None of that stuff is "necessary" to use the kit, but it for damn sure makes it easier, consistent, and above all more powerful.

Otherwise i agree.
you veteran guys have any suggestions for a lowly FA5 owner. No Kpro for us, so what ignition box could i use to retard timing? I have a small background with nitrous. 08 zx14, direct port dry, progressive. C-16.

any advice would be great.
