Basically, I am throwing the lovely P1259 code (VTEC System Malfunction), but I am not sure if that is what's causing my issue. So I need some help here before I go out and buy a VTEC solenoid assembly.

This morning I had misfires on multiple cylinders so I took the coil packs out and of course I had one basically melt in half due to the spark plug grenading. So....I did some Backyard Mechanics and replaced the coil pack and the spark plugs for all the cylinders. Then my car went into Limp Mode. I checked the oil level and it was fine. Figured it was just mad at me and throwing a temper tantrum.

Went to drive home and it wasn't in Limp Mode anymore. Cool right? Well about 30 minutes later, I had no acceleration and the car died. It won't start, just turns over a few times and then nothing.

Could this all be related to my VTEC Solenoid? Or could I have another problem altogether?

Star off with correcting the codes showing first. Then Go from there, cant say thats not the problem without fixing it even if the code is still showing. Have you tried removing he solenoid and inspecting it? Maybe cleaning the gasket if its dirty?

After running everything I'm getting P1077, P1259, and 2 codes for O2 sensors that aren't there because of exhaust setup. I took off the solenoid and cleaned it and tested it. It works fine as far as I an tell. Hooked it up to 12v and solenoid activates.

Then it started. Buttttt....now my car dies when I brake or rev up and it falls down or when I clutch. Also I'm in limp mode. I have already replaced the IAC valve when it was doing that before and it fixed the problem. But now it's much worse.

So now I don't know what I need to do. I think the problem is lying in the P1077 code. Which I don't know how to fix.
