I don't know when this started but i could've sworn Autozone always did free code readings. Or so i thought. 2 days ago, i was trying to get a code reading for my mk4 Jetta and apparently it is illegal for stores to give free code readings in California and Hawaii. O'Reillys said it was because they sell the merchandise in the store and customers can buy and use themselves (which i thought was dumb) and Autozone guy told me it was because someone was suing somebody because the stores aren't certified to do them or some shit. Anyways i found out that Pep-boys still does Free code readings :shady: and are more helpful and knowledgeable than any Autozone guys i've talked to.
Just thought i'd let people know in case they need it. Or in case they didn't know. :weeeeeeeeee:
