Both cars are too over priced if you ask me
ZDX is ugly as fuark imo. Ain't no one gonna want that thing.
I'd rock a ZDX if people only saw it from this angle.

both cars suck, imo
Maybe 40k is the most Acura can get for a car, outside of the NSX.
No surprises there.
The Tribeca is hideous, the Tribute looks like crap when you have a CX-7 on the same lot, Land Cruiser and Escalade EXT are really a specialty SUV for people with obsessions for massive.
The Azera wasn't bad, but when the new Genesis came along, it was dead.

I refer to the ZDX as a trend of "Sports Hemorrhoids".
The poor-man's hemorrhoid is the Accord CrossTour, but also includes the Infiniti FX35, BMW X6 and the rumoured Audi Q3, and of course, the original hemorrhoid, the Toyota Venza. Also on the list, and making worst sales: MB R-class.
It's one of those "bigger than a wagon, smaller than an SUV, ugly as sin" combos that just doesn't work. I'd take a wagon any day.

The RL... it's just dated. For a flagship car, that's real hurt. In 2005 the RL's intro of SH-AWD made it a big winner for flagships, but it's gotten old and doesn't offer much over the TL.
The TL SH-AWD offers just about everything that the RL has for less moula.

Rumour seems to point that the next-gen RL will be introduced soon, perhaps under a new name, perhaps as "LSX". Likely power will be based off the NSX's 3.5L V6 + electric combo around 400hp. Obviously to reinstate it as a flagship car, and not a "big, expensive TL".

They still make the Land Cruiser?? I haven't seen one in ages and thought it was discontinued a long time ago.
3 of the top 10 are wagons.

I actually saw a ZDX over the weekend...it's even uglier in person than in photos. I don't know if it's possible to unintentionally design an uglier car. The market for high end sport/luxury "wagons" is small enough as it is...combine that with hideous styling and it is just bound to fail. I'm actually surprised it's not #1.

Yup yup. They still make it for places where you'd want a really rugged, full-time 4WD vehicle with a body-on-frame construction.

The US has interstates and roads and all that, so it's not practical. But if you were living in the Australian outback, you'd want a vehicle like a Land Cruiser.

Fun (and useless) trivia.
2008 Land Cruiser sales in the US: 3,801 (this would continue to drop)
2008 Land Cruiser worldwide sales: 332,090

I know! The ZDX is pretty hideous. I think the BMW X6 is hideous too, but people will buy it just to say they have a BMW.

:rotfl:
They'd have to pay me to drive either one of those...
I had a ZDX as a loaner from Acura while I was having some maintenance done on my RSX...I thought the interior was nice, but everything else was horrid..I especially hated the driving position and the horrible visibility out of the back. And it's not like you can haul very much in it...
both cars are great and attractive but too costly to purchase
here in middle east - Toyota Land Cruiser will be in top 3 imo

the Toyota Landcruiser FTW, OMG I have seen you Quataris smoking those lambos in the patrols and landcruisers, such awesome engines.
Funny how the TSX wagon sells better. If you haven't seen one you aren't living.
