Anybody going to these events next weekend and the weekend after?

Right now I'm 90% sure I'm going to be at the ProSolo @ Packwood but I don't know about Packwood National Tour yet. (Plus I haven't registered yet either :noes

I was just in Seattle this weekend, but I couldn't get the vacation to stick around and do Packwood. Sucks, because it sounds like an awesome event...

CS '99 Miata on fresh Hoosiers FTW.

Anybody got any useful tips of any kind on racing in a RWD car?

I've only ever driven FWD other than my parent's Chrysler 4WD minivan.

Be very very smooth... thats the biggest thing i noticed when I drove a Miata. Also momentum is big in those cars.

Another thing... the turn in is incredible in those cars... it took me a little bit to get used to it.

You will be amazed at the entry speed compared to the RSX. Also, yes, smooth throttle inputs after that. Have fun!.

Update:

Just got home from US National ProSolo event @ Packwood.

I got fucked up.
Mostly my fault... actually... it was all my fault.

Long story short, I coned my 3rd place away in C-Stock first time racing in a RWD. Most of my experience is racing in my RSX on street tires. It was quite the change... Not to mention my first time driving a ProSolo style autocross.

Final result... 4/7 + going home empty handed instead of 3/7 with a trophy + contingency money.
