Actually (213) 555-1234 is AT&T directory assistance. Has been for years. True story and one probably one of the best ideas they ever had. I remember when the show "24" was on, the camera showed what number Jack Bauer dialed on his phone. I called it and got recorded message about 3 seconds long. It said "Nextel phone used for 24". I just laughed and hung up.
