Okay so I just had my Head completely refurb'd.. New seals, new springs, cleaned, machined, ect.. The car makes great compression with no leakdown... So we put it on the Dyno only to be stumped.. The car, after making the usual spike after Vtec engagement stabilizes afterward, then actually starts to dip as it nears 7,800.. The curve after vtec should continue to increase.. We have ruled out pretty much everything.. Oil pressure is good, engine is good, all power supply is good, Solenoids are good.. Tuner said it is intaking proper air, but there seems to be a restriction exhaust side.. Is it really possible to lose like 30-40hp from a bad exhaust? They told me to have my exhaust checked.. But to me, it doesnt seem like I could be losing this much power from a bad flex pipe or exhaust issue.. Any one ever have anything similar ever happen?
