Problems with door locks

Is anyone else having problems with their door locks?

It seems that I am not able to unlock or lock my door with out holding up on the door handle first while I lock or unlock my driver side door. So now i am only able to open my door with the key. No more keyless entry!!!:firemad: :firemad: :firemad:

Does anyone know what I need to do to fix this problem?

Thanks Everyone

that is a good link, i replaced my actuator with the assembly still inside the door, thinking it would not take long, however it took me like 30 minutes this way, and im a mechanic, if you dont have mechanical skills i would pay to have it done
you should take the entire assembly out the door before you try to replace the actuator. You'll need a decent torque wrench to unscrew those screws on the side of the door.

Don't wanna hijack thread but I'm having a door problem too. When I use the manual
unlock inside the door everything locks fine and also works with the key outside door. But when I use the remote it will flash the lights but doesn't lock and sometimes won't even flash. Is this also the actuators?
not sure what you mean by "manual unlock." If you try to tilt the lock/unlock button inside the car up and it doesn't unlock but it unlocks when you pull the stub then that probably means your actuator.
Thats what I mean by manual lock. The switch inside the door above the handle.Sorry for not being more clear.
If that switch still works its probably not the actuator. Maybe its your remote?
I changed the battery and still won't work.I'm clueless as to what it might be.Also the little light on the remote comes on too when pressed.:dontknow:
try a different remote
How do I go about that? Where can I buy one? Is any prgramming required?
car should have come with 2....if not then check the for sale threads here. I picked one up for $20 here.

The programming is pretty simple...just have to hold down the button and turn the key a few times (you could even borrow a friends and then reprogram it to his ride just to see if that is the issue) you can search for the exact procedure.

Ya bought the car used but never got one.I'll definitely search. Thanks +rep
bump for answers. just happened to me today. the lock/unlock switches work but no keyless. i have to manually unlock/lock the car now. tried reprogramming the remote and i can hear the rear lock and unlock but the doors dont do anything. the actuators were replaced about 5k ago so i doubt they are the problem.
^ Did you have the same problem that forced you to replace the actuators in the first place? I had that problem one time, a mechanic friend said it was the actuators right off the bat, but said it was around $80 for even a used actuator. I left it alone and it started working again.

This was a few months ago, now it's acting up....similar to what everyone else is describing. Sometimes you see the door lock as if it gets stuck--the knob doesn't go down. Gotta do it manually.

the weird thing is that my keyless worked last night, then this morning it wouldn't work again. i got the actuator replaced under warranty when the driver door would not lock.
I think I am also having this problem *sigh*...just bought the car maybe 2 months ago and it's giving me problems.
