1) Does a race header make the exhaust very loud? Consider already having an intake and cat-back, how much louder would a race header make things?

2) If it is louder, does welding in a high flow cat make it quiter?

3) How much loss of power can be expected if a cat is welded in?

4) What is currently the best method of using a cat with a race header? (ie: Jackson Racing with Carsound welded in, or some other set up)

Thank you.

1) Not very loud, but it will sound deeper a bit.
2) I don't know. :dontknow:
3) I think it was like 4-5 hp, not too sure though.
4) I think you know the answer to that one already.

just an addition to the original question...

if i already have a cat back for the base and want to keep it...and i was to get toda/spoon/jrrh...what needs to be done to make it fit...?

the same sorta deal with welding the cat onto the exhuast and the header will bolt straight on? but in this case i need to cut the longer base exhaust?

well you can take it to a muffler shop and have them cut the piping and put flanges on so it will all fit and bolt up.
