So I’ve had my RSX Type-S about a year and I’ve noticed that when stopped at a dead standstill the rev limiter bounces at around 5k, I was curious if this was a stock thing or if I had some sort of aftermarket tuning done to my ECU.

You have 2 step turbo set up for launching lol jk. Did you look at your ECU? Does your VTEC engage lower?

ECU has no port no stickers nothing. And VTEC hits around 6 like it’s supposed to. But it hits hard.

Idk if I trust those 05-06 numbers, because I have found typos in there. Like even in that text, we know the K20Z1 doesn't rev any lower than the K20A2 -- its redline is 8100 and the fuel cutoff is at 8300 (so even that's wrong for K20A2! edit: whoops I forgot K20A2 doesn't have the same limits). I haven't neutral revved in quite a while at a stop but I don't think it limits it to 3500rpm...

That's what I'm saying -- the Honda service manual (or Acura actually) has misinformation/typos
