Hey! I've been in love with the Acura RSX for a while now, and I've been thinking about purchasing one as a first car. I'm a 19 year old dude, so I know insurance will be at least a little high. I've had my license for a year, and during that time, I've been driving my mom's RDX Turbo. Never been in a crash, never got a ticket, I like to believe I'm a safe driver, lol. I'll of course be getting a manual. I've seen similar threads, but they're all at least 5 years old. Any feedback? thanks!

personally, i wouldn't see why not-- i'm actually in a similar situation myself!
if you can find one for decently cheap and hasn't already been beat half to death you could have a great time with it too!

I am about your age and my RSX is my third car. If you are confident driving a manual than go for it. If you aren't, then I still don't see why not; you will certainly be a much better driver after driving an RSX for a year or so. My insurance is under $50 per month. It's a fun car, and totally worth it if you can pick one up on the cheap. Keep an eye out for trunk and quarterpanel rust.

Yeah, if you're 19, do your best to find a 5 speed manual base. Insurance is much cheaper on the base models. If you can, find an 02-04 base and not a 05-06. 02-04 are easier to mod.

I bought my 2002 Base manual 6 years ago and I still love it. It was my first car as well and learned how to drive manual in it.
