also if anyone has an info on why the sub thumps whenever it turns on and off. I heard that it was a grounding issue but it also did it when I had the stock bose HU in, just not as exaggerated. Does anyone else stock system do that?

I have a 06 type s with a little over 50k miles and an Injen CAI . I have an issue where I hear a hollow rumbling sound around 2k. You only hear it as you are accelerating past 2k from stop. It's not the same sound as the engine cover, though that it pretty annoying in itself. It sounds more like it may be coming from the CAI. It's like a hollow rumbling. I had the car taken in a couple of weeks ago because of erratic revving and it was due to the throttle being stuck a little open. The tech said it was possibly due from build up of grime due to the CAI filter.
Either way I'm just a little concerned and don't want this to turn into a problem 50k miles down the rode. The car definitely lost its new car feel when I had to bring it in. The only maintenance that I've really done is change the oil every 8k miles. What else do you guys recommend I do to bring it back to tip top shape.

I just hear rumbling like it's coming from the CAI, maybe sounds like the filter is off, but I checked and that's not it. It only happens as I'm accelerating with the clutch engaged. If I'm idling and rev it up you don't hear anything. It's just like this deep hollow airy rumbling sound.
