Seat Belt Alarm Turn Off

3887 Views 5 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  briancartwright006
Alright guys.. I couldn't find a thread on it.. if you do thank you.. you've searched harder than I have..

But does anyone know how to turn it off? Could it be as simple as pulling a fuse from somewhere?

I'm also going to work on figuring this out.

Is there a issue with the unit? before I look into it more or anyone else

Do you prefer to drive without the seat belt or do you use the seat belt and the alarm continues to go off /w alarm?

I got interested so I looked it up anyway,
My first guess was right they are available, lol they sell Dummy buckles for seatbelt disarming.

Secondly I was going to suggest disconnecting the receptacle to the clip but people have been doing that and getting SRS lamp indicator warnings so that might be a issue.
Either that or have a jumper cable go across the connector or just mod the seat belt receptacle. To make things less complicated I would just find a compatible honda/acura oem buckle and just go with that.
I became interested so I did a few minutes of research.

I've found that the easiest and cheapest solution is to buckle your safety belt before starting the car.

No, no issue with the unit at all. I'm no crazy daredevil, I wear my seatbelt mostly but I find after I drive and am sitting in the car at a stand still and take it off my alarm for the belt will sound, so I was just wondering if anyone knew how to disconnect it, it's just more of a small annoyance

Haha yeah I've thought about that, I was more so curious, with the way I drive I'll pretty much always wear my seatbelt
