I actually think it is pretty cool. But somehow getting rid of the door handles would be a must. I say go to a body shop to get rid of the door handles and get sensors and go for it. :thumbsup: I actually saw these on Pimp My Ride before. :laughing:

No dude. It will only open if you have the key with you. And rain, rocks, and debris won't make it open either. If anyone could open it, then it would be pointless.

not really, i had saved doors on my mini truck before the rsx. once you shave the doors you dont need to have locks, i dont know about the sensors though, i just had the solenoid poppers hooked up to the alarm remote so i would push a button and the door would pop open. what really sucks is when that shit f's up on you when you are inside and doesnt want to open. luckly i had manual windows so i could still get out, otherwise i would have been fucked. and if you battery goes dead, your pretty much fucked unless you have a well-hidden manual release.yeah because shaving down the door handles, you also lose your locks and ability to lock your doors

if you are building an all-out show car, then do it. if you are going to dd it, its much more convienient to have the good ol' door handles.

true dat, but will your doors still unlock with a completely dead battery?? probably since it doesnt use that much power. i was thinking in the case of my old reg cab tacoma with only 2 doors. but a manual release where only you know where it is isnt a bad idea either.
