btw im new here but i've been lurking around for the past 3 months and jumped in, i've got recently an Rsx-S K24/k20:vtec: and i love it but since my friends are also moded cars i need more punch in it:chillout:, im ready to invest and to put the time, sure thing less expensive the bether it is cause i can do more :p ill give you pics of the car cause i dont completly know all that there is in the car and from that mod my car for bether power, (and yes the car is in a bad esthetic shape i'm fixing it slowly)
so i hope i'll be able to make the best with you guys
i'm aiming for a high 12 sec street legal car, so i'll have quite a bit of mod to put considering i got a 14,575 at napierville dragway yesterday

Edit: i don't think i got cams but i know its a k24, with k20a2 head and the TB isnt from the car, the computer is it stock? maybe you guys know...:eek:
Edit #2: the TB is a RBC i got DC sports Headers still an unknow CPU

so i just got on the forum and wanted to know how to make a high 12 all motor car while being able to daily it evrywhere( and since there is cold winters around here , i'm not sure if its a possible thing to do) i dont feel like going soft mod and building up afterward i kinda want to jump close to goal ASAP, i know some guys run in or close to my goals and i want to know if you guys had to redo your build what would you have and have not done ?

a stock block with aftermarket cams can get you a high 12 second car. you need the right supporting bolt on's and the right cams but it can be done.

for the engine mounts should i get inserts (i dont think its going to do the job) or innovative or Hasport mounts (also it its worth really going for a race/track) ?

(other post moderated since pics) i've got a k24a2 and also took pics of my ECU you'll see them soon (think its a k-pro)

looking for a LSD system since it should help me with my 1/4 mile time with a stage 4 clutch (got a recomendation?)

as for cams the drag cartels seems awesome but i dont know what valve/springs to match them

i can show you guys more nsx pics if you want also ;)

*EDIT* belt seems to be on its last milles, on a k24 with AC compressor, witch size should i get?

I've had good success with Innovative 75a mounts. the 65a usually gives out with anything more than a stock engine setup.

LSD - Quaife is the preferred differential (but also the most expensive)

Springs and retainers. I'd say the best budget setup is Supertech 1021 or 1022 with corresponding supertech titanium retainers / seats / seals. If you're looking into big $ for american springs, there are other options (psi, pac)

a tsx belt should work for your engine.

1. get some mean green and clean up the bay. spend a day cleaning and looking for other missing bolts and get everything in order. DO NOT start putting mods on that car until you know exactly what your working with and that everything is secure and in good working order.

2. I may be wrong on this but im pretty confident in saying that the car couldnt run on any stock ecu. Find out what it is and how to work it. Get your software and learn a bit about it.

3. Get rid of the aem V2, get a true Cai. Not sure what your looking like on exaust and im not familiar with the exaust setups for the frank k24a2s but any motor basically works better for higher hp under the principal that more air in + more air out = higher hp. lots of cam choices, do some research on cam and valvetrain setups and those things should get you fairly close.

the exaust is a 3'' straight pipe with a DC sports headers, seems good IMO, im wondering if a CAI is really worth the shot?
Changing to a different header and the CAI will give you very good gains. I didn't read the whole thread but you seem like cams are in the future and if that is true the dc sports header will hold u back along with that intake.

And yes that is kpro if no one has answered that.

Really like the NSX...
Do you know who tuned the car or if it's running on the stock kal off K-manager? Tune would be a solid investment once you the little issues resolved. Also you can use that v2 do some minor mods and you have an intake that sits below the battery...

is there a way for me tto get the wire required and remove the REV limiter or set it at 9000 rpm rather that 8250 at its locked ATM
First off, unless your k24 has a K20 oil pump with supporting valve train you do not want to set your rev limiter to 9000 or go anywhere near that high. To answer you question though, you need to plug in a laptop through the ECU's USB port with Hondata's latest Kpro app and you can adjust the rev limiter from there if you know what you're doing.
