I searched around for a bit and i just couldn't seem to find it so i figured i would post...

Anyways i'm planning to get an Aftermarket HU (IDA-X100) next weekend and i was told by Store that my Stock Sub and Amp wouldn't work no more even if i don't do a Amp Bypass and use a wire harness. I was just wondering if that was true and if i can use stock sub and amp after i get the HU?

Thanks in advance, much appreciated

wrong, use the Metra 70-1725 integration harness and the stock amp and sub will work fine.

I have the same HU. Be sure to bypass the oem Bose amp, or else your sound will be greatly distorted. Very easy and only takes 10-15 minutes. Good choice on HU.

only if you are not using the integration harness, if you are wiring up directly with the 70-1721 harness yes you will cause all sorts of problems as it is made for cars w/o the bose in it.
