Hi

just wanna tell u , ive reached my target.
i just came back from the dyno , after 2 1/2 hours of tuning , i think i achieved one of the top whp for 9 psi on dyno jet .

my car did 293whp and 198wtq @9psi on dyno jet. i think i did ggreat job and its an amazing result. am more than happy with it . (dont mention the 229wtq, the dyno didnt record at this rpm , the actual number is 198wtq.

add to that . the 35shot of NOS, it was more than enough to make me very pleased and over the sky.

with 35shot of NOS, my car did 328whp w/221wtq.

i'll post later some pics of my setup with dyno vid, coz am so tired now and i didnt eat anything since 2 PM, and now its 10 PM. and i need some warm shower :)

all of that on stock everything .
:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

awesome numbers man. I just went to the dyno and put down 274whp...so it looks like your tuning paid off. Do you mind if you post your calibration? Im curious to see what you did to make that much power with 9psi:)

Congrats though...awesome numbers

Yea I remember you telling me that. But my hp wasnt dropping off up top...it was still going:dontknow: This is why i want to see his tune and see how its different to compare to mine. He said that he did a lot of tuning to his car to get these numbers so I wonder how much the new parts really helped...or if the same kind of tuning was done with the first attempt.

Your graph definatley starts to drop off after 7500 rpm.Without cooling the heat will kill the top end performance

sorry man i cant post my calibration , it cost me 2 1/2- 3 hours of tuning , my time, i did the tuning job , i just rent the dyno from the shop.

and about the power , all i can say guys u need to run 98 octane fuel :) which i always use it for my car since i bought it in 2003. it really help to make such power. my ignition advance for 50 cam angle was 27degree and for the 40cam angle is 28degree with 0 knocking.

my A/F ratio was straight line @ 12 all the way to the top end.

What size was ur jet bro. i know u said 35 shot. But every jet is different and some go by crank, some by whp... blah blah

just curious
the jet size was 0.026 , it gave me exact 35whp from 3400rpm to the top end

ahhh.. ok so this post makes MUCH more sense with your numbers. Glad you cleared it up because those are kinda high numbers with 9psi. Great job tuning BTW. I need to go back to the shop and tune ignition on my ride as well. At least from this post I know that you prob reduce your cam angle up top and increase iginition. Which is how my tune turned out.

I'm sure it was the same kind of tuning if he did the tuning himself. Clearly im in the market for a new header, as the combo of DC header and comptech exhaust hits under my car. I'm going to do some research between the SSR and BC header and see which one likely will net more power

Once I get back to the dyno and get new numbers (should be over 300 on 93 octane), I'll post up my calibration. But looking at his post, he used some 50deg cam. on my high cam, at no point did 50 deg. make more power than anything in the 40's. Maybe it has to do with the VTEC point which is at 3000RPM. Hadi, do you mind at least sharing where you have your VTEC set to? My low cam is locked at 50 when in the 11-13 columns.

my low cam set @45 cam angle and my vtec point is 3600 rpm, ones the cam changed to high cam, the cam angle goes to 50, when i was on the dyno the highest torque number was produced in 50-45 cam angle.

by the way , what is your setup and what is your dyno numbers ?

My current numbers are 290whp and 210wtq @ 11psi using 93 octane with 11.8-12.2 A/F. That is with almost all my cam angle tuning done. I have to go back and tune the top end cam angles and ignition. I stopped because my car was too heat soaked. VTEC is at 3000 RPM. I have street tweaked my cam angles and ignition so I will go back and redyno to see if I break 300whp since I don't have a slipping belt too.

My power mods:

JRSC @ 11psi
AEM CAI (filter was way dirty at dyno )
DCRH (going to upgrade to SSR 4-1 when its released)
Comptech Exhaust (going to dremel the flange so its 2.5" all the way through)
Kpro
Hondata intake manifold gasket

with those mods u should hit the 300whp.
btw, my number are the max , there is no way the engine will put more than 293 on 9psi , am talking about my engine , i was very aggressive on the engine yesterday and i took it to the limit , my friend said to me u will break your engine :)
but everything goes just fine.

but there is more to come , and there is room for 50 shot of NOS , but not now , 328 is more than enough for me at the moment.
