Tein Street Z Advance Coilover Install issue

I got a set of used Tein Street Advance Z coil overs without the top hats. Currently I’m trying to mount the front OEM top hats with the plastic bearing onto the tein coil overs but am running into an issue. The coil overs have a silver adapter where one end fits into the spring and the other onto the top hat/bearing. The issue I am having is that the plastic bearing isn’t sitting in the notch on the adapter. Anyone run into this problem before ? Any help is appreciated, Thanks.

Did the car that they came off of have the metal bearings instead? If I recall correctly with my Teins, they provided two different options those adapters depending on which strut mounts you have.
Did you ever solve this problem? My kit never even came with these bearings. And tein USA doesn’t even have these in stock.

What part are you referring to, exactly? If it's the bearings, those are OEM parts you're supposed to source on your own when purchasing coilovers that don't come with top hats.
The same silver upper spring perches from the start of the thread, idk what they’re even called everybody has their own word for it. Thinking of just measuring the inner diameter of the spring and either getting them custom made or aftermarket.

If it's the Tein piece that's missing (and assuming you bought these new and not second hand), I would stay on them about it. I mean, how much is it going to cost to have new ones designed and fabbed? Could probably have just bought some higher end coilovers with top hats by the time you do this.
Honestly could’ve went with Flex z’s with the money i’ll have had to spend on these. The only problem is tein USA doesn't have these in stock. part #USS01-H2735 They’re about $45 a piece from Japan, and 6-8 weeks to ship.
