Thoughts for repainting my car

Hey,
I have a 2005 rsx type s in vivid blue pearl. I love my car, and dont intend on ever getting rid of it. Car clearcoat has faded, it's an eyesore to me everyday. I have never repainted a car before, so I had it quoted around a few shops in temecula in so cal. One shops quoted me 7500 to repaint the same color with supposed life time warranty and to fill in factory holes from the stock spoiler. Does include some dent removal on driver side rear quarter panel. I also went to Maico and the quoted me 4100 for a similar job. Anyone have experiences with repainting their car? Prices too high? Any input or suggestions is highly appreciated and welcomed.

If you are wanting to do the same colour and the paint is in good condition (no rust, rock chips, or scratches to the paint) you could save a lot of money by just re doing the clear coat, and leaving the old paint. Definitely do your research on it however as I'm no expert.
Hope this helps!
I have thought about it and have done the research. There are chips in the paint down to the metal where it's starting to rust and rear quarter panel needs a dent removed. When I wash and dry the front of car, the rags have blue streaks from the paint coming off. Worried it's too far past saving.
I've had my fair share of experience when it comes to painting. $7500 for a repaint is about average for a color like yours. If they're shooting the color in PPG deltron, the color itself is probably around 1-1.2k itself. Then you have other materials like filler, primer, sealer, clear, tape, etc that add up.

You can't re clear the car properly once the basecoat is exposed.
Depending on how many miles you have on it, you may want to just use another color and wrap it. That's a lot of money.
if you truly intend to keep the car, then it would be worth the money even if the cost of the job is greater than the value of the car. I am in the same situation after 19yrs with the car (bought it new), and debating on good painting or cheap painting ... not sure about keeping the car.

You can get axalta's Cromax EZ and paint it yourself. I painted my rsx in my garage and it came out flawless. Just put in the time and effort. $5000k+ at shops when you can spend about $2k in products AND parts. Only took me 2 quarts to repaint same color.
I love my 02, probably 10k in parts thrown In it this past year, but the car always looked like shit. finally decided to get some quotes and I was getting them for 10-12k. my hood came flying up like two years ago so they had to fix that. took it to Marco and got it painted for 3800, its not perfect, but it finally allows me to enjoy looking at my car. another reason why I did not want to spend so much is because im starting to track the car now so ive been getting rock chips. I already have a few on the new paint but I enjoy tracking it.
