I'm currently installing a set of BC Racing coilovers on my 03 type s. I've got the rears done so far... I forgot to get a tie rod tool prior to starting this project so the fronts are on hold at the moment. I was looking at the front end yesterday and my tie rod ends look like garbage and need to be replaced. So my question is, with me adding these coilovers will I need modified (longer, shorter than OEM) tie rods or can I just replace the ends and call it the day?

I tried searching the forum but I didn't find a definite answer. Did see something about inverted tie rods though.

Also are rear camber kits recommended for coilovers?

Not sure on the tie rods, but a rear camber kit is always useful, even on stock strut assemblies since we don’t have any way to adjust rear camber with the factory arms.

From what I’ve read on here, it’s best to run half as much camber in the rear than the front, from a handling perspective. I’ve noticed an improvement in corners/turns with -.9f and -.4r. Toe was left within factory specs.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong on that last statement^

I bought my base RSX with raceland ultimos installed. I just replaced my tie rods with stock ones last weekend with no problems. Not sure about the BC racing coils in specific though.

It will work, unless you drop it so low you run out of tie rod adjustment. Going low toes the car in, and you need to toe out, too low and you can't do it so you need shorter tie rod arms.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I'll be getting some new ends this weekend along with a rear camber kit. Get those on along with the front coilovers then I'm off to get an alignment ?
