If you get the Toda Engine Kit with the spec A cams, do you need to run the ITR intake manifold? or
do you only need to run it if you want the most gains from the cams?
And if you do need it, to you need a bigger throttle body also?

And what are the gains over running the toda setup with stock type-s IM as compared to the ITR IM.

Thanks,
Clay

you dont NEED to run the ITR manifold, however it will help the head breath at the high RPM that the valvetrain was deisgned/tuned for. However the tests on the toda site are done with the type S IM, so the type R should be good for a few more HP ontop of that at mid-high RPM. Not sure about low end torque numbers though. Check around, use the search... i dont come on here alot, but im sure this question has been answered (possibly with dynos) a few times.

you don't NEED to do anything, but to allow your cams to do their job the way they want to they'll want to breathe a little, so ITR IM and a race header will help with that, otherwise it'll just be a little slower. If you invest that much in cams etc. it's worthwhile to spend the extra money to get the right equipment to go with it.

I would get a dyno with A/F first before deciding whether to add the ITR manifold. Hondata said it helps lean out the mix and adds some HP above 7800 rpm, so if you find your car is running too rich then it may be worth getting.
