After months of thought, I have decided to stay n/a with my rsx. What do ya'll think of the Toda N2 package, Toda high compression piston kit, toda head gasket, and their flywheel and clutch, as a setup to run autocross; as far as the engine goes, considering my suspension is nearing completion. And will I have any problems running this n2 setup with the 12.9:1 compression ratio given by the new pistons. Any advice will help out. THANX.

for autocross start with suspension, i would wait for the tein ht's to come out. all that engine work is gonna bump you into a class that has many powerful cars, and more importantly, experienced drivers. i dont know how experienced you are at autocrossing, but if your new just start out small.
BTW dont forget the ITB if your gonna go all out. ;)

That`d be a really awesome to a autox setup and you could make some good hp, maybe 240whp dynapack maybe 250 with ITBs. You might not wanna run such a high comp ratio if its gonna be driven on the street. The only way to do so would be to pull a lot of timing on pump gas and keep the revs down.

If you're running that high of compression, you'd might want to consider a bigger cam. You should definately look into the Toda B or C.

I emailed toda and they told me I was unable to run the high compression due to the fact that the toda reflash was optimizded to run with the 11:1 versus a 12.9:1. Bump. Ne wayz I am still go to gett he toda kit. Oh by the way what is itb. Thanx.

Just for the record, what suspension components have you already put on?

I'd say that the N2 cams might not be beefy enough for those pistons, but then again I'm still waiting to see what JUN will offer with their cams. :dontknow:

By the time I get back from spring break  in bahamas, I will have the tien ss, spoon front strut bar, cusco reat strut brace, hotchkins 1in sway bars, and spoon underbody tie bars, front and rear on the car. Half the stuff is sitting in my closet and the tien ss, will be bought on friday. I think that is a pretty decent setup. :D

Well since I can't get the high compression pistons, their also goes the toda head gasket. I have opted to go ahead and use that money plus a little more for a big brake kit.

The only thing I am nervous about getting is a good header. I am not one that wants something to be super loud. And I cannot afford to lose my cat, either. So any good suggestions would greatly be appreciated. What do ya'll think about the toda race one? Can I keep my cat or get a highflow cat with that?

If you wanna keep a cat the only real option right now is JR header with a carsound cat. It's a nice setup, I definately dig it .

I'd love to see how your setup compares to mine one day. When we both are done with our suspension, lets go for a drive. I will be getting my mugen suspension wednesday and putting it on that afternoon. Let me know if you need any help putting on your Tien SS since I have already done atleast 4 suspension swaps on the RSX... #5 will be wednesday. It's funny.. because both of us will have full suspension setups.. but share NONE of the same components. ;)

Yea, you can stop by tomorrow if you want if ur not working. I should be installing it by 4PM or so. I will start taking my car apart at about noon and have it on jack stands waiting for the new parts as soon as they arrive. I will have the OEM body kit as well as my 18's and don't like to scrape on all the steep slopes I go on daily.. the Mugen drop seems perfect to me though. :driving:
