Ok so im sure we all know what camber is and what toe is. But can we have some kind of discussion as to how they contriute to the overall handling package? Posts from this thread could be used for the "thread of all threads" sticky in the future.

There is no short answer to this question, except for definitions. You can't separate parameters and say that this contributes in that way.

If you boil it down, the purpose of the suspension is to maintain the maximum tire contact patch with the ground at all times... particularly on the tires that are loaded more with any given input. Camber is a good starting point for understanding because people can visualize changes easier... and even then, it's far easier to see it in the rear suspension, when you're not worried about steering geometry and input. There are literally dozens of parameters that you have to tune, and one of the hardest things is developing a goal as to what you want to achieve. It's a game of compromise.

Toe is more related to controlling slip angles of tires.

If you're really interested, I recommend buying several technical books on suspension theory and tuning. Not rice books about the latest "jdm springs," but engineering books. I would recommend "Chassis Engineering" by Herb Adams for a beginner's understanding into thinking about dynamic control correctly.
