So we recently installed the JDM engine on our auto 2006 RSX, engine runs fine, sounds good, but the transmission is still having issues. We went to go drive out of our driveway and the transmission like died on us. So we pulled it back into the driveway jacked it up again, all that. Now whenever we put it into reverse or drive, the engine idles high. In drive specifically it will say we are going 10-40 mph on the speedo. Which is clearly not the case we aren’t going anywhere. Anyone heard of or had this issue?

Did you swap in a jdm auto trans in the process? Could it be the wiring and plugs are different?

If you used the original trans and there weren't any issues prior, could be something was not put back in correctly. Sounds like the tranny and motor are not syncing up.

Yes it’s a JDM trans as well, wiring looks all the same and even then we changed over sensors just for laughs. The previous trans we had was shot that’s why we ordered the new one

Well if you didn't separate the motor from the trans, either something is wrong with the trans you got or there's sensor/wiring issue. Did you use your old wiring harness? If there's something wrong with the trans, you might be under the 30 day warranty from the place you got it from.
