http://www.gears-manufacturers.com/gear-ratios.htmlThis might be a very dumb question but what does this ratio mean like what is value 3.266 for 1st gear or 2002 RSX saying?
7900rpm Redline Used; 7900rpm Shift RPM UsedCode:
6-Speed Manual Gear Ratios RSX Type-S TSX DC5R 1st gear 3.267 3.267 3.266 2nd gear 2.130 1.880 2.130 3rd gear 1.517 1.355 1.517 4th gear 1.147 1.028 1.212 5th gear 0.921 0.825 0.972 6th gear 0.738 0.659 0.780 Reverse 3.583 3.583 3.583 FD Ratio 4.389 4.760 4.764
I used an 80mph highway cruise speed since thats where we really want it to matter.

There you go boys.
Chris, the lowest gear ratio is now found in the '08+ Accord 5th gear. Even lower than the TSX/Si 6th gear.the lower the final drive (like a 4.0) the higher the top speed. The higher the final driver (like a 5.0) the lower the top speed. The lower the final drive it makes the gears longer. So if you are looking for improved gas mileage then you need to go with a lower final drive. In an RSX you can change to a 4.0 final drive and a TSX 6th gear you can go 80mph without breaking 3000rpm. I am not sure if that is good or bad but we are going to test it in a few.
