have any of you bought a type r gauge cluster? the only thing i hate about it is the kph instead of mph, i hate guessing so i was thinking maybe i could buy the whole gauge cluster and pop out the speedo from the type r and replace it with the speedo from the type s with the mph...what do you guys think? yes or nay?

i think its a great idea and id love to do that myself sometime in the future after i get a Hondata #4 Reflash, with the new redline it'd give a nice clean stock look. let me know how this goes.

your going to need an aftermarket speedometer, and something to record your mileage, but popping it out would be dumb cause its practically the same thing, thats the part that says type-r!

Hmm after reading this though, that would be VERY good idea if you have a hondata reflash on a type-s, that way it would go all the way to the top. Maybe you could use the stock cluster and just put in the type-r redline thing.

hmm taking out the type S speedo and putting it in the type r cluster is a better idea i guess...i really dunt mind not having the type R part...bc imo it would look dumb having the type r name on the gauge and my car not being one...wouldnt it be ricey?

I bought one with the intention of using it once I got hondata. Although I still think it would be cool I am no longer planning on getting a Hondata flash so if anyone is interested in the cluster I have it for sale. I paid $300 but will take less.
